Comments: The CD booklet says that track 1 comes from the compilation album Only The Very Best instead of being the original release recording from For Every Man.  I do not have a copy of either of these releases, and am unable to verify if there are any differences between the two, or to confirm that this release has a remixed or rerecorded version from the early compilation.  However, the 2007 Word-Curb CD release for Steve's The Definitive Collection, while being a very cool reissue of oldies tracks from Steve's first 3 albums (most of which to my knowledge have never previously seen the light of day on CD), does happen to include "Farther And Higher".  That version (Definitive Collection release) sounds to me like the same recording as this version (Library Of 32 Favorites release), and is listing on "that" release as being from the original album.   So, my present guess is that Track 1 is the original version from For Every Man, if any other versions do exist.  Hopefully, I can update this lengthy blurb soon with something authoritative sounding after acquiring the original releases, For Every Man and Only The Very Best.  [Sheesh!  Collectors...  Always nitpicking!  Just enjoy the song, and get on with it, right?]
